Meet Courtney Wright
Courtney Wright is a woman in long-term recovery from opiate addiction who found recovery at age 20. Courtney strongly believes in having the voice of lived recovery experience at all levels of decision-making in recovery-oriented systems of care or communities. Courtney is a Certified Addiction Recovery Empowerment Specialist (CARES), Certified Peer Specialist - Youth (CPS-Y), and Forensic Peer Mentor with which she works in Georgia to engage those seeking or in recovery. She is a passionate advocate for increasing access to care for young women and children struggling with addiction and mental illness. She is a mother to her two sons, Jacob and Braydon. Courtney is passionate about her recovery and works hard to help remove the stigma associated with addiction.
