Lack of support = disconnection grows, and families struggle alone.
With Walton Empowers support = families gain tools to reconnect, rebuild, and remain together.

Why people need this:

When addiction impacts a family, children can become vulnerable, families may face legal systems (like child welfare), and fractured relationships create long-term pain. Many parents lack guidance, support, or understanding to reunite with their children or rebuild trust..

We Are Your Guide:

Walton Empowers offers peer-led resources specifically tailored for parents and families because we believe recovery shouldn’t just be personal, but relational.

Our Plan:

  • Provide parent support meetings: a safe space for parents in recovery to connect, share, and learn how to communicate with their children about recovery and substance use.

  • Offer training, education, and peer support for navigating child-welfare systems (like DFCS), collaborating with family treatment courts, and managing parent-child visitation and reunification.

  • Provide parent advocacy services: help create self-directed care plans, strengthen parenting skills, and support families during recovery and reunification.

What’s At Stake:

  • Without support, families may remain separated, children remain vulnerable, and cycles of instability can continue.

  • With Walton Empowers, families gain tools, understanding, and compassionate support — opening paths to reunification, stable parenting, and healthy family life.
